Well, it’s been 4 days since I’ve seen a snake…I must say I’m a little concerned. I know, right? There’s been no sign of them since the big yard clean last weekend.

We surrounded the well, where they usually are, with dirt to build up the ground in that area…and that was that. No more snakes.

I know so little about snakes…are they trapped in there now? Can snakes dig? Am I crazy? Have I really become obsessed with these creatures that I’ve been so terrified of for so many years?

Watching them, which binoculars from the kitchen window (told you I was afraid of them) has become part of my daily routine. They are fascinating creatures…and they are more active, and interesting, when you watch them from afar rather then standing over them.

Looks like it’s time to do a little research…and perhaps a little digging just to be on the safe side. Yep, crazy wins.
