Hello and happy end of tax season to you…and happy back to blogging for me!

Since things have slowed considerably at work I was actually able to spend this weekend doing things I enjoy rather than just spending it doing laundry and catching up on sleep. I was finally able to start some seeds, watch a movie, have dinner with friends. But the best part? Spending a few hours wondering my favourite nursery. Which in turn has brought me to my new obsession…ferns…or rather an old obsession revisited! (Thanks to the 30% of house plants sale).

I have tried my hand at keeping ferns in the past but, to my dismay, was terribly unsuccessful. Poor things. It’s so sad – I love them so much! And off the top of my head I’m not really sure why I love them so, maybe because my Mom (or Lene or Mormor) always had a few around when I was growing up. Or…it could be they remind me of where fairies live – a mossy, ferny magically garden. All I know is they make me happy.

Lightbulb! Maybe the ferns ARE magically and they cast a spell to make me love them!!?? Just Kidding…hehe. Just trying to get that right-side of my brain working again after a long tax season!

So after a carefully planned purchase and a weekends worth of ‘how-to’ research I am confident that my two, yes only two, new beauties will live a long and healthy life here with us. Once I’m sure they’re gonna make it, fingers crossed, I may add a few more to my collection (Alright, who am I kidding…I’m going tomorrow to get more haha).

I’m looking forward to adding the Fern Badge to the list of things I can grow. Wish me luck!
